We know it’s true because we’ve lived it. Our coaches come from the dental industry, and we know that experience is invaluable. We believe in you, your business, and your team, and operate from the knowledge that your success can make the world a better place.

“I’ve always had the drive to build what’s missing, and what was missing in dentistry was structure, leadership, and coaching that actually worked inside the real practice, with real people.”
Kelly Fox-Galvagni is the founder and driving force behind Smile Potential, a high-impact dental coaching firm known for helping practices grow with clarity, confidence, and systems that create real, lasting change. With more than 30 years of hands-on experience in dentistry, Kelly has coached hundreds of teams, scaled businesses, and developed leaders who feel empowered, supported, and capable of running practices they truly love.
Kelly began her dental career as a trained-on-the-job assistant and quickly became known for her ability to organize chaos, elevate team performance, and strengthen patient relationships. What started as a path to stability for a young single mother grew into a lifelong mission to help good people do great work without burning out. That mission is now the heart of Smile Potential.
Today, Kelly is a nationally recognized strategist, an award-winning international speaker, a serial entrepreneur, and a sought-after coach with a reputation for her sharp insight, practical solutions, and no-nonsense style. She has launched and led successful ventures in dental consulting, wellness, and real estate development, all centered around people, performance, and purposeful leadership.
When she is not working with dental teams or speaking on stage, Kelly is fully present in the role she cherishes most: family. She splits her time with her husband between Eastern Long Island, New York City, and a quiet off-grid cabin in the Catskills. She is a proud mom of two grown, married children, an enthusiastic Gigi to her first granddaughter, a devoted animal rescuer, and someone who believes music is an invitation to dance anywhere.
Mercedes’s path into dentistry was anything but traditional. After leaving a job that no longer fulfilled her, without a backup plan, she opened the classifieds and stumbled upon an administrative position at an endodontic office. With no experience (and after quickly Googling what a root canal was), she took a leap of faith. What began as “How hard could it be to answer the phone?” quickly turned into a deep appreciation for the complexity of running the front office of a dental practice.
She soon discovered that dental administration was far more intricate than she ever imagined. Managing the front desk meant coordinating countless moving parts, ensuring every system flowed smoothly, and keeping the practice operating efficiently. Her natural organization, problem-solving abilities, and love for structure helped her grow into the role of Office Manager. She later transitioned into a general and cosmetic practice, where she served as Office Manager for nearly 15 years.
During that time, a casual conversation with a dental assistant changed everything. When the assistant mentioned a friend starting a dental consulting company, something clicked. Mercedes thought, “How amazing would it be to help other office managers run their practices smoothly and stress-free?” That introduction led her to Kelly.
As the company grew, with more coaches and more practices coming on board, Mercedes naturally transitioned into what she loves most: managing operations behind the scenes. She ensures that every detail of the client experience runs smoothly and that the coaching team has everything they need to deliver exceptional support.
Though she may not be present at every on-site meeting, Mercedes is involved in every client journey. And when she does join a meeting, she loves finally putting faces to voices and connecting with the teams Smile Potential serves.
Born and raised in New York, Mercedes is now based in Los Angeles, skillfully managing operations and client communication across time zones. She is also a dedicated mom of two daughters, balancing their busy extracurricular schedules with meaningful family time. She frequently travels back to New York, both for family vacations and to reconnect with her Smile Potential family during lectures and events.
Beyond her professional role, Mercedes is a passionate supporter of breast cancer and brain cancer awareness. She actively participates in annual charity walks and fundraising efforts, dedicating her time and energy to causes close to her heart.

Donna began her dental career in the 1980s with no prior experience and an open mind about where life might lead her. While studying business administration, a friend connected her to a local dentist who needed an assistant. She was hired on the spot, trained entirely in the practice, and quickly discovered a natural passion for the dental field. Encouraged by her doctor to continue growing, she pursued dental hygiene school and graduated from NYU in 1993.
Donna’s clinical journey took her through general dentistry, periodontics, and ultimately pediatrics, where she found her greatest joy working with young patients. While balancing hygiene in both pediatric and general settings, she was asked to step into the role of office manager at one of the largest pediatric practices on Long Island. Leading a team of more than 25 people, Donna embraced the challenge and discovered how much she loved motivating, guiding, and strengthening teams.
It was during this time that Donna worked with her first consultant and realized something important. She loved the idea of supporting practices, building stronger teams, and helping people succeed through coaching that was positive, encouraging, and grounded in real experience. That spark eventually grew into a calling.
After managing a multi-specialty practice and expanding her expertise across all areas of dentistry, Donna crossed paths with Kelly. In 2017, she officially joined Smile Potential with a mission to help doctors and teams reach meaningful goals with clarity and confidence.
Today, Donna is valued for her deep understanding of what happens inside a practice on a daily basis. She has held nearly every role in dentistry, which allows her to coach with empathy, insight, and practical solutions. She specializes in administrative development, strengthening phone skills, optimizing scheduling for productivity, improving workflow efficiency, and helping teams master their practice management software.
Donna lives on Long Island with her children. In her free time, she stays active by working out, playing pickleball, and bowling.

Jamie didn’t set out to build a career in dentistry, it found her. While attending college in the year 2000 and unsure of her future direction, she came across a local newspaper ad for a dental assistant position in her hometown of Staten Island. She interviewed, got the job, and learned everything hands-on. Despite entering the field with no background, Jamie quickly became fascinated by dentistry.
She was especially inspired by the hygienist in the practice, the level of care she provided, the relationships she built with patients, and the impact she made every day. That inspiration led Jamie to pursue dental hygiene at NYU, where she graduated in 2005. After relocating to New Jersey, she joined a practice where she worked for many years and eventually became the lead hygienist. In that role, she discovered how much she enjoyed not only caring for patients, but also supporting and mentoring other hygienists to reach their potential.
Jamie’s passion for growth and leadership ultimately led her to Kelly and the world of dental coaching. When Smile Potential was looking for another hygiene coach in 2016, the opportunity aligned perfectly with the path she had been envisioning for herself.
Today, Jamie is committed to helping hygienists elevate their skills, strengthen their confidence, and rediscover the passion behind their profession. She brings real-world experience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others succeed. These values continue to guide her work every day.
Outside of coaching, Jamie loves spending time with her two boys and being surrounded by friends and family. She also enjoys reading, watching true crime documentaries, listening to music, and spending time by the water, her happy place and favorite way to recharge.
